Width Window. During the Measurements phase, this Window shows the Width of the Wheel
(determined automatically from the measurements taken by the Inner and Outer Arms).
Indicators next to the Wheel. When Weight needs to be added to a Wheel, you turn the
Wheel and watch the indicators on the appropriate side of the Wheel. When all of the indicators are
lit, the Wheel will lock automatically and the laser will show the exact spot to put Weight.
Weight Location indicators. The appropriate weight location indicators turn on (red) to
indicate where the Balancer thinks you are going to put the weights to balance the Wheel, based
on Balancing Mode.
If the wrong weight indicators turn on, stop the balance and start again. If you put the weights on
the Wheel in a location other than what the Balancer expects, the Wheel will not balance correctly.
The following drawing shows available weight locations.
Balancing Mode indicators. DYN, STA, ALU1, ALU2, ALUS, OPT, and HID. When a
Balancing Mode is selected, the appropriate indicator goes on.
Note:
LS43B Laser-Spot™ Wheel Balancer

OPT is the Optimize Function, which is not a Balancing Mode. It is an optional
procedure to lessen the imbalance in a Wheel that is more than 30 grams / 1 ounce out
of balance.
