Remove
the
seat.
Start the
engine and
keep it running at

with lighting switch turned ON (HI position).
Using the pocket tester, measure
the DC voltage
between the battery terminal @ and

T f the tester reads under 14V or aver 15.5V, check
the
AC generator no-load performance and regula-
tor/rectif ier.
When making this
test,
be sure that the

AC GENERATOR NO-LOAD PERFORMANCE
Disconnect the three lead wires from the AC
generator
terminal.
Start the engine and keep it running at

r/min.
Using the pocket
tester, measure
the AC voltage
between the three lead wires.
If the tester reads under 80V,
the
AC generator is
faulty.
