CDD-880 Multi Receiver Router
Ethernet-based Remote Product Management
Port Diversity Configuration
This feature must be used in a setup with multiple (i.e., two or more) switches. The
switches need to be running Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) or Rapid Spanning Tree
Protocol (RSTP).
See Appendix E. PORT DIVERSITY for detailed information on using this feature.
Use the drop-down list to Enable or Disable this feature. Click [Submit] to save.
When enabled, the Port Diversity feature changes the appearance of this page to reflect the
Active and Standby status of each port, as shown at bottom in Figure 6-11.

The acceptable/valid operating ranges for items in this section are provided in parentheses.
Typical for either page section/version:
MAC Address (read-only) – The MAC Address cannot be changed.
IP Address / CIDR Mask (8 to 30) – Use this box to enter the IP Address and CIDR (Classless
Inter-Domain Routing) Subnet Mask.

2) The ETHERNET | TRAFFIC/MANAGEMENT | GE and ETHERNET | TRAFFIC |
3) The ETHERNET | TRAFFIC/MANAGEMENT | GE port serves as the dedicated
Link Configuration – Use the drop-down list to select the line speed and duplex setting for
the specified port. The available settings are Auto*, 10 BaseT/Half Duplex, 10 BaseT/Full
Duplex, 100 BaseT/Half Duplex, or 100 BaseT/Full Duplex.
* Auto is the recommended configuration selection.
Negotiated Link Mode – The actual negotiated line speed and duplex setting for the
specified port is displayed here. The read-only, viewable settings are 10 BaseT/Half Duplex,
10 BaseT/Full Duplex, 100 BaseT/Half Duplex, 100 BaseT/Full Duplex, or 1000 BaseT/Full
Duplex.
Click [Submit] to save.
ETHERNET | TRAFFIC | GE ports must be different and on separate subnets.
GE ports are isolated; the CDD-880 can pass traffic from one subnet to the
other if this is how the route table is configured.
Ethernet-based monitor and control interface between the CDD-880 and the
User PC.
