8.12 Cloud Management

The Zyxel Nebula Control Center (NCC) is a cloud-based network management system that allows you
to remotely manage and monitor Zyxel Nebula APs, Ethernet switches and security gateways.
The Switch is managed and provisioned automatically by the NCC (Nebula Control Center) when:
• It is connected to the Internet.
• The Nebula Control Center Discovery feature is enabled (go into Nebula cloud management mode).
• It has been registered in the NCC.
When you can register the Switch in the NCC and enable the Nebula Control Center Discovery feature,
the Switch will go through the following steps:
It will download firmware first via the NCC if it only supports standalone mode.

It will go into Nebula cloud management mode automatically and reboot.

Note: While the Switch is switching to Nebula cloud management mode, don't turn off the
power. See
the Switch goes into Nebula cloud management mode successfully.
Use this screen to enable or disable the Nebula Control Center Discovery feature. If it's enabled, the
Switch will try to connect to the NCC. You must have Internet access to use the Nebula Control Center
Discovery feature.
Note: Once the Switch is managed by the NCC, you can't disable the
Discovery feature. To switch back to standalone mode, see
information.
Note: Once the Switch is in Nebula cloud management mode, it can't be configured
through the web configurator.
To stop unwanted traffic when the Switch is in standalone mode, you can disable this feature.
Click Basic Setting > Cloud Management in the navigation panel to display this screen.

This field displays the IP address of the DNS server.
This field displays whether the DNS server address is configured manually (Static) or
obtained automatically using DHCPv4/DHCPv6 (Dynamic).
