Domain alarm synthesis area

Red: Critical alarm (CRI)
Orange: Major alarm (MAJ)
Yellow: Minor alarm (MIN)
Cyan: Warning alarm (WAR)
Blue: Indeterminate (IND)
The meaning of each icon in the Alarm Synthesis is:
CRI - Critical alarm
Synthesis of alarms that need immediate troubleshooting (typical: NE isolation)
MAJ - Major (Urgent) alarm
Synthesis of alarms that need immediate troubleshooting
MIN - Minor (Not Urgent) alarm
Synthesis of alarms for which an intervention can be deferred
WAR - Warning alarm
Synthesis of alarms due to failure of another NE in the network
IND - Indeterminate alarm
Synthesis of alarms not associated with the previous severities. Not operative.
Each alarm severity is represented by an alarm icon situated in the top left hand corner of
the view. These alarm icons are always represented on the different Equipment views so
that the operator is always aware of the alarms occurring in the system.
Furthermore the number in the alarm icon indicates the number of active alarms with that
specific severity.
4.6 — Domain alarm synthesis area
This area contains the icons representing the alarms per domain. Each icon indicates the
number of alarm occurrences for each domain.
The meaning of each icon in the Domain alarm synthesis area is:
COM – Communication alarm
Synthesis of alarms in the Communication domain
EQT – Equipment alarm
Synthesis of alarms in the Equipment domain
