Symptom: The forward and reverse gear shift mechanism does not operate
properly.
Check the gear shift operation.
Is it operating
correctly?
Yes
Check the shift cable connection.
Is it connected
properly and in
good condition?
Yes
Disassemble the lower case and
check the dog clutch operation.
Is it in good
operating
condition?
Yes
Check the dog clutch and
forward and reverse gears and
replace if necessary.
