The following
information
shall be provided
to the telephone
company,
upon request of the telephone
company:
a) The FCC registration
number.
b) The Ringer Equivalence
number.
These units may not be used on party lines or coin telephones.
The Telephone
company
(telco) has the right to make changes
in their network
which may affect the
operation
of your unit, provided
adequate
notice isgivento
you in advance to permit continued
correct
operation.
in the event of operation
problems,
disconnect
your unit by removing
the modular
plug from the telco
modular
jack.
If your regular
phone still works correctly,
your unit has a problem
and should
be re-
turned for repairs (in or out of warranty).
If upon disconnection
of your unit there is still a problem
on
your line, notify the telco that they have a problem
and request
prompt repair service
at no cost to the
user.
The user may not under any circumstances
(in or out warranty)
attempt
any service
or repairs on the
unit.
It must be returned
to the factory
or an authorized
service
agency
for all repairs.

The FCC registration
number and ringer equivalence
number can be found on a label, located on the
back of the machine.
CANADA
The Canadian
Department
of Communications
label identifies
certified
equipment.
This certification
means that the equipment
meets certain telecommunications
network
protective
operational,
and safety
requirements.
The department
does not guarantee
the equipment
will operate
to the user's satisfaction.
Before installing
this equipment,
users should ensure that it is permissible
to reconnected
tothefacilities
of the local telecommunications
company.
The equipment
must also be installed
using an approved
method of connection.
In some cases, the company's
inside wiring associated
with a single line individual
service maybe extended
bymeansof
a certified
jack-plug-cord
ensemble
(telephone
extension
cord). The
customer
should be aware that compliance
with the above conditions
may not prevent degradation
of ser-
vice in some situations.
Existing
telecommunications
company
requirements
do not permit their equip-
ment to be connected
to customer-provided
jacks except where specified
by individual
telecommunica-
tions company
tariffs.
