Remove the electronics housing

Note
Lift the electronics housing until the sensor cable nut is exposed. Do not pull the housing
more than 1.5-in. (40 mm) from the top of the support tube. Damage to the sensor may
occur if this sensor cable is stressed.
Install the electronics housing

Troubleshooting
Turn off the power to the Rosemount 8800D.
Remove the terminal block side cover.
Disconnect the wires and conduit from the housing.
Use a / -in. (4 mm) hex wrench to loosen the housing rotation screws (at the base

of the electronics housing) by turning screws clockwise (inward) until they clear the
bracket.
Slowly pull the electronics housing no more than 1.5-in. (40 mm) from the top of
the support tube.
Loosen the sensor cable nut from the housing with a
wrench.
Verify that power to the Rosemount 8800D is off.
Screw the sensor cable nut onto the base of the housing.
Tighten the sensor cable nut with a

Use a hex wrench to turn the three hex socket screws counterclockwise (outward)
to engage support tube.
Place the access cover on the support tube (if applicable).
Tighten the screw on the access cover.
Connect conduit and wires.
Replace the terminal block cover.
Apply power.
