IMPORTANT: The HPE Apollo r2800 Gen10 Chassis with 16 NVMe does not support servers using
the embedded SATA HPE Dynamic Smart Array S100i Controller or any type-p plug-in Smart Array
Controller with internal ports and cables.
Procedure
1. Back up all server data.
2. Power down the server.
3. Remove the server from the chassis.
4. Remove the air baffle.
5. Remove the bayonet board.
6. Do one of the following:
• Remove the secondary PCI riser blank.
• Remove the secondary PCI riser cage.
7. Do one of the following:
• Remove the primary PCI riser blank.
• Remove the primary PCI riser cage.
8. Remove the expansion slot blank.
9. If installed, remove the full-height bracket from the expansion board.
