The Environmental Protection Use Period (EPUP) typically marked on the product
label indicates that during the specified period, under normal operation, the hazard-
ous substances should not leak out or deviate. Thus, product use should not result in
substantial environmental pollution, personal injury, or property loss. However, do not
confuse the EPUP as the warranty date.
The products attached to the pollution control mark can be recycled; they must also
not be discarded at will.
