3. BLEEDING THE BRAKE SYSTEM
OF THE FRONT DRIVING AXLE
Before the entire bleeding the control
valve must be bled in accordance with
point 1. Bleeding of the pressure-air
brake system for trailers even in case
no air brakes for the trailer are in-
stalled.
Do the bleeding at the operation pres-
sure of air in the system of 730 ± 20 kPa.

Proceed as follows:
1. Check the brake liquid level in the equalizing tank. Add the missing quantity of the
brake liquid.
2. Remove the plastic caps from the bleeding screws of the brakes of the front driv-
ing axle (the screws are positioned on the upper surfaces of the reducers).
3. Slide hoses (1) onto the screws. Immerse their other end to the bottom of a trans-
parent container partly filled with the brake fluid. Place the container at least 300
mm above the bleeding screws (2). The screws must be permanently under pres-
sure to avoid aeration of the brake system through their threads.
4. Bleed the left and right brakes at the same time.
5. Release the bleeding screws by 1/4 turn at the most.
6. Depress the connected brake pedals to the stop and tighten the bleeding screws.
7. Release the brake pedals and repeat the procedure until air bubbles stop escap-
ing from the hose.
8. After bleeding the brake system of the front driving axle tighten the bleeding
screws with the torque of 0.8 - 1.2 Nm (3).
