Serial Ports

The NetGuardian's server port provides reach-through terminal server functionality for connecting multiple
simultaneous users to external equipment via Telnet over LAN. This port can function as a proxy connection to an
external device, a craft port, a channel port, a TCP or UDP reach-through port. The NetGuardian can support
simultaneous proxy connections for up to 5 users.
Note: If connecting a NetGuardian DX to the NetGuardian 240T, use cable# D-PR-1032-10B-08 to connect the
serial port to DX IN port of the expansion unit.
Yost RS-232 RJ45 Connector
NetGuardian data ports can be configured for Yost RS-232 or RS-485.These data ports are available as optional
builds on NetGuardian hardware units (Call DPS Sales for more information @ 1-800-693-0351).
