Position the patient's head so that the midsagittal plane
coincides with the midsagittal plane light beam.
Position the patient's head so that the Frankfort plane
coincides with the Frankfort plane light beam. Adjust the
tilt of the patient's head by raising or lowering the unit with
the height adjusting buttons. The patient's back and neck
should be straight.
The Frankfort plane is a plane which joins the infra-orbital
point to the superior border of the external auditory
meatus.
The Frankfort plane light, which is located on the side of
the column, can be moved up or down. This is done by
rotating the thumb wheel below the light slot.
Position the apices of the patient's upper central incisors
within the image layer of the unit.
