This
procedure
will
longitudinal tomograms from the maxilla, mandible or
temporomandibular joints.
Insert the chin rest and a bite piece into the adapter.
Insert the adapter into the holes in the patient support
table.
For edentulous patients or for patients who are unable to
use the bite piece you can use an impression plate or a
bite piece with a vacuum formed stent.
Alternatively, you can use an impression plate for patient
positioning. Refer to section 15.3 "Patient positioning with
impression plate" on page 90 for details.
Select the program you wish to use (see section 8.6
"Selecting tomography / transtomography program" on
page 39.)
Specify the image area as described in section 8.6.1
"Selecting target area in tomography / transtomography
programs" on page 40.
Select the exposure values according to the size of the
patient. Refer to the values given in the following tables.
