Note: 1. All network IP addresses and subnet masks are used as examples in this article.
Please replace them with your actual network IP addresses and subnet masks. This
example was tested using USG310 (Firmware Version: ZLD 4.13) and MS Azure
(Version: 2.7.1).
2. MS Azure auto-generates the Pre-Shared key once the Virtual Network is
configured. Therefore, this tutorial creates MS Azure virtual network first in order
to use the same Pre-Shared Key to configure your ZyWALL/USG.

4.7.1 Set Up the IPSec VPN Tunnel on the MS Azure

Sign into the Windows Azure Management Portal. In the lower left-hand corner of the screen,

click New.

In the navigation pane, click Network Services > Virtual Network. Click Custom Create to

begin the configuration wizard.

On the Virtual Network Details page, enter the NAME for the VPN network. For example,

VPN_to_ZyWALL.
LOCATION is directly related to the physical location (region) where the virtual machines (VMs)
reside. The region associated with the virtual network cannot be changed after it has been created.
Then, click the Next (?) button at the lower right-hand corner to go to the next page.
