4.6.2 Set Up the IPSec VPN Tunnel on the SonicWALL

In the SonicWALL VPN > Settings > VPN Policies, click Add to create a new VPN policy. Select

Policy Type to be the Site to Site, select Authentication Method to be the IKE using
Preshared Secret. Type the ZyWALL/USG's WAN IP Address to be the IPsec Primary Gateway
Name or Address (in the example, 172.10.120.11).
In the IKE Authentication section, set the Shared Secret to be the same as your ZyWALL/USG's
Pre-Shared Key. Then, set the Local IKE ID and the Peer IKE ID to match your ZyWALL/USG's
VPN Gateway > Show Advanced Settings > Authentication > Local ID Type and Peer ID
Type.

In the SonicWALL VPN > Settings > VPN Policies > Network, choose Local Network to be the

IP address range of the network connected to the SonicWALL (found under SonicWALL >
Network > Interfaces > LAN).
Go to Remote Network and create a new address IP address range of the network connected to
the ZyWALL/USG. Then, scroll down the list to choose the newly created Address Object to be the
Remote Network.
