If the need arises, you can replace the firmware. This section covers the following aspects of
how to do that:

Determining the Firmware Version

There are several ways to check which version of firmware the receiver (or receiver and
transmitter) is using:

Before using any of those methods, connect the receiver and the PC to the same network.
Alternatively, for PCS, you can connect the receiver to the PC using a USB configuration
cable. For details see the
page 5, the
page 45, and the HC 404 System Setup Guide.

Using a Browser

The receiver comes with a set of factory default embedded web pages. Also, after
configuration, the GlobalViewer (GV) application could be installed in the unit, providing a
different set of web pages. See the Global Configurator Help file for information on how to
use that software and the resulting web pages. Either type of web page (factory default or
GV) can be used to find the firmware version and part number of the receiver.

View the device information in Toolbelt.
View the general status information section of the embedded web page for the receiver.
View the GlobalViewer (GV) web pages (if the receiver has already been configured and
the GV web pages have been generated, built, and uploaded to it).
View the hardware unit information page within PCS.

Software-Based Configuration and Control
Start Global Configurator and click the link to open the Toolbelt software or open
Toolbelt directly.
Either add the desired HCR 102 manually or start device discovery and select the
desired unit from the list of discovered devices.
Click Manage in the row for the desired device and view the device information that
appears in that section.
Start a browser program.
Type the IP address of the HCR 102 receiver into the address field of the browser
and log on to the internal web page or to the optional GlobalViewer web page stored
in the unit (see the Global Configurator Help file for details). Enter the password for
administrator access if prompted to do so. The web page opens. The firmware version
of the receiver is listed in the General Status information pane.
