7.2 Describing Contours Through Mathematical Functions
The mathematical functions assign the results of one of the following
operations to a Q parameter:

e.g. FN3: Q2 = +3 * +3

e.g. FN4: 04 = +8 DIV +Q2
Calculates and assigns the quotient of two values.
Not permitted: division by 0
FN5: SQUARE ROOT
e.g. FN5: Q20 = SQRT 4

Not permitted: square root of a negative number
The "values" in the overview above can be:

The Q parameters and numerical values in the equations can be entered
with positive or negative signs.
To select a mathematical operation
Select BASIC ARITHMETIC.
Choose function FN3: MULTIPLICATION.
