representative. Provide the data collected in this procedure.

If the sluggish performance is not isolated using the iosat command, use the
vmstat command in Procedure 8-3.
Perform the 5620 SAM client GUI or OSS application procedures in chapter 9.
Open a command or shell tool.
To collect data to determine whether there is a disk bottleneck, type:
iostat -x time ↵
where time is the time, in seconds, over which you want to collect data. Alcatel-Lucent
recommends that you start with 2 s.
To stop the iostat command, press CTRL-C.
Review the iostat output. The following is a sample of iostat data. See Table
for a description of the iostat report.
