10.1.1 Offline mode (indirect data transmission)
In offline mode, there is no constant data communication between the computer and actua-
tor. Communication must first be established to upload from the device or download data to
the device.
Writing data to the device:
Select Write from the Device menu to start data transmission.
The control task is implemented after data are downloaded from TROVIS-VIEW
Reading data from the device:
Select Read from the Device menu to start data transmission.
Uploaded data are marked in TROVIS-VIEW with the

10.1.2 Online mode (direct data transmission)

In online mode, communication is established permanently between the device and TRO-
VIS-VIEW. All the configuration and operating data are transferred cyclically from the device
and displayed in TROVIS-VIEW. The settings configured in TROVIS-VIEW can be directly
transferred to the device.
Start online mode:
Select Online Mode from the Device menu.
The
icon on the online toolbar is animated.
Exit online mode:
Select Online Mode from the Device menu while the online mode is activated.
The online mode is deactivated.
