Transport

Short circuit due to moisture
Condensation may form when transporting in cold weather or in the case of extreme tem-
perature differences:
Attention
• make sure that no moisture (condensation) forms inside the servo drive. Equalize the
room temperature slowly. Do not switch the device on until it is completely dry.
Despite the robust design of the unit, the components are sensitive to strong vibrations and impacts.
During transport, protect the product against:
• high mechanical stress
• large temperature fluctuations (max. 20 K/hour)
• excessively high humidity (max. relative humidity 95%, non-condensing)
Use the manufacturer's original packaging for dispatch.
Since servo drives contain electrostatically sensitive components that can be damaged by improper
handling:
• Avoid electrostatic charging before you touch the device or components directly.
• Avoid contact with highly insulating materials (synthetic fibers, plastic film etc.).
• Place the servo drive on a conductive surface.
• If the packaging is damaged, inspect the device and any accessories for visible damage. Inform the
transport company and, if necessary, the manufacturer.

Storage

• The servo drive and accessories may not be stored outdoors. The storage space must be adequately
ventilated and dry.
• The devices may only be stored in the manufacturer's original packaging.
• Max. stack height 8 cartons
• Storage temperature: - 40...+ 55° C, varying no faster than 20 K / hour
• Air humidity: relative humidity max. 95%, non-condensing
• Storage time: < 5 years: without limitation
Destruction of the equipment!
On no account must the device be connected to 400 V if the DC link capacitors have lost
their forming. The capacitors must be reformed (see below).
Attention
Forming:
Capacitors must be reformed before putting the servo drive into operation. Release all electrical connections
and feed the servo drive for about 30 minutes with 230 V
