By default, braille key B7 functions as a backspace key. When pressed
in the word processor or in an edit box, the cursor moves one character
to the left, deleting that character in the process.
To input braille dot 7 as its own character, this check box must be
deactivated. When activated, you will not be able to backspace or delete
using the B7 key.
10.5.2 Keyboard > B8 Key.
By default, braille key B8 functions as a carriage return key. When
pressed in the word processor, a line break will be inserted, and the
cursor will be positioned at cell 1 on this new line.
To input braille dot 8 instead, this check box must be deactivated. When
activated, you will not be able to enter a carriage return using the B8
key.
10.5.3 Keyboard > Double Stroke.
The "Double Stroke" checkbox activates or deactivates the double stroke
function.
When activated, a space will automatically be inserted at the end of a
word whenever you press the space bar together with the last character
input.
If the word you're typing is Baum, you type letters B A U as normal, but
when you type the letter M, you will press the space bar along with
braille keys B1B3B4. This will insert a letter M, and a space.
10.5.4 Keyboard > One Hand Mode.
One Hand mode allows the input of text and commands via the braille
keyboard, using just one half of the keyboard.
Activating and Deactivating the One-Hand Mode
Under Settings > Keyboard, check the check box "One-hand mode". A
new button "one hand settings" becomes visible. Confirm this button to
open the dialog with several controls and the options if you want to use a
right hand or a left-hand mode.
