4 Designing the Power Supply System
NX-series NX1P2 CPU Unit
I/O power supply terminals
 Maximum I/O Power Supply Current
The maximum I/O power supply current is the maximum current that the I/O power supply that is
connected to the Additional I/O Power Supply Unit can supply through the NX bus connectors to the
NX Units.
When an Additional I/O Power Supply Unit is used on the CPU Rack, the maximum value is 4 A
regardless of the Unit specifications.
For example, when an NX-PF0730 Additional I/O Power Supply Unit is used, its maximum I/O
power supply current is 10 A. However, you must operate the NX-PF0730 at 4 A or less when you
use it on the CPU Rack.
Precautions for Safe Use
Use the I/O power supply current for the CPU Rack of NX1P2 CPU Unit at 4 A or less. Using
the currents that are outside of the specifications may cause failure or damage.
4 - 12
a. Total current consumption from I/O power
supply is 4 A or less
(NX Units with the supply from external
source or no supply are excluded from
calculation)
b. The voltage drop in the I/O power supply is
within the voltage specifications of the I/O
circuits of the NX Units and the connected
external devices.
