Description
The Soft Reload feature provides a
best effort mechanism for the switch
to be gracefully brought up with
minimal impact to production traffic
when a process crash occurs. You
can also use the soft-reload
command to trigger a manual soft
reload of the switch.
Starting with Cisco NX-OS Release
7.3(0)N1(1), the default mode for
GIR is "isolate". Provides support for
Unplanned Maintenance,
Maintenance Mode timer, Supress
FIB Pending, Adding Show
commands to snapshots and dumping
snapshot sections. You can use GIR
to perform maintenance and software
upgrade of the switches and the
connected FEXs. A FEX group is
added to optimize the procedure to
bring up or take down the FEX.
