Notes for Trigger Mode with Non- Honeywell Controls:
• Commercial Fire: a) Assign one zone (3-7) between the 7847i-E and triggering device for
each of the following conditions: alarm, trouble, & supervisory events. See Summary of
Connections diagram on inside back cover for wiring detail and refer to the control panel's
instructions for specific control panel wiring terminals.
b) The control panel used must be UL 864 Listed and evaluated for central station or
proprietary service.
• For voltage trigger mode, the voltage trigger must be within the range of 2.4Vdc - 12.6Vdc
for positive triggers.
• Power must be supplied by a separate power supply with sufficient backup battery Listed
1481 [for fire] or UL603 [for Burg] and wiring must be in conduit in accordance with local
codes. UL 1481 Power supply output must be 12Vdc Regulated.

Wiring the Fault Relay

You may wire and program the communicator's fault output trigger for fail-safe mode (see
the question "FLT REL ON Y/N").
To sense a communicator fault at the control panel, see the figure below and make the
following connections. Include the proper EOL resistor required by the control panel.
UL/ULC
For commercial burglary a 24hr zone must be assigned, and the fault relay
wired to that zone
