Remaining amount Check if the message "Prepare toner
of toner replacement." or "Replace the toner." appears or
not.
Tape attached to Check to see that the tape attached to the toner

Lens of the LED Check if surface of the lens of the LED head is
head stained or not by toner and paper dust.
Mounting condition Check that the LED head is mounted on the LED

left tension springs are normally installed.

Media type Check to see that the print media which is used
for printing is not a specially thick media
(1-1-4) High voltage terminal
ID unit terminal ICheck that the high voltage terminal of the ID
unit is contacting with the Contact Assembly
normally by visual inspection. (Refer to Figure
6-3.)

Replace toner
cartridge with

CLOSE position
and remove tape
from opening slot.
Clean the lens
with soft tissue
paper.
Correct for

KEEP MODE.
Check item
(1-1-5) ID unit installation condition
ID unit DOWN Move the ID unit in and out with hand to confirm
position (Defective that any abnormal mechanical load does not
transfer) exist, and the ID unit can be moved down to the
DOWN position normally. If a piece of paper is
inserted in between drum and belt, if top end of
the paper can enter easily, it is NG (No Good).
6. Troubleshooting and repair procedure
