Installing HN4000 System Software

The HN4000 system software is installed when the switch is delivered. However, you can load
a new version of the system software from an FTP server. This chapter describes the process of
installing the system software from an FTP server.
The suggested method for loading the system software is to enable the Dynamic Host Control
Protocol (DHCP) on the HN4000's 10/100 Management Port to automatically assign the
HN4000 switch an IP address, then download the system software from an FTP server
(Figure 5‐1).
