3.3.2 Resetting the Alarm Port

Alarms generated by the HN4000 are available on the Alarm port's normally‐open and nor‐
mally‐closed relay contacts. See the section "Cabling the Alarm Port" on page
description of the Alarm port's pin‐outs.
Pressing the LAMP TEST button for more than two seconds but less than five seconds, resets
the alarm port's relay contacts to their default settings.

3.3.3 Changing the Switch ID Number

If you press and hold the LAMP TEST button on an HN4000 for five seconds but less than ten
seconds, the device enters switch‐ID change mode. In this mode, the seven‐segment chassis
LED flashes. Then, each time the button is pressed and released, the switch ID number is
incremented.
If, while in switch‐ID mode, the lamp test button is not pressed within five seconds, the device
exits the mode.
If the switch ID is changed, the new number is displayed, and the device clears the current star‐
tup configuration and reboots.
When the device is rebooted following a switch numbering change in switch-ID mode, any
system-startup information in the device's startup configuration file will be lost and data and man-
agement traffic will be interrupted.
