2.4.3 Assembling the Brackets

Step 1. Assemble the mounting brackets to both sides of the HN4000 chassis using the eight
provided #6‐32 Phillips head screws and a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
Step 2. Tighten the Phillips head screws to 6 ‐ 10 in‐lbs (0.7 ‐ 1.1 Nm).

Step 3. If the HN4000 is to be installed in a 23" ANSI rack, take steps 3a‐through‐3c below.
Otherwise, go to Step 4.

2‐4 shows an ANSI 19" bracket mounted on the right side of a chassis.
Referring to Figure 2‐5, orient the end of an extender bracket with the drilled and
tapped holes behind the left‐side 19" ANSI bracket. Note that the extender
bracket's offset is toward the front of the HN4000.
