test plug, that is supplied with the ID-RP2L.
w Connect a voltmeter between pin 1 (RSSI) and pin
4 (GND).
e Assemble the test plug as illustrated at left.
Adjust the parabolic antenna beam as follows.
Due to the very critical adjustments that are required,
have two or more people available to assist in the ad-
justments.
q Aim the parabolic antenna beam at the opposite
repeater's microwave antenna, and temporarily fix it
in place.
w Connect a voltmeter to the [TEST] connector of the
ID-RP2L, through the test plug, and make sure the
shorting wire is in place.
• The link transmitter will transmit a test signal automati-
cally.
• Transmit a test signal from the opposed microwave link
repeater also.
• The voltmeter swings when the test signal is received
from the opposed microwave link repeater.
e Adjust the parabolic antenna beam direction and
elevation angles to the point where the voltmeter
shows maximum voltage, then fix the antenna in
place.
r Follow the antenna direction and elevation proce-
dures for the opposite repeaters' antenna, and fix it
in place.
t Repeat the adjustments to optimize the signals and
then securely fix the antennas in place.
