Your 758C Indicator has been thoroughly tested and calibrated before being shipped to you. If
you received the indicator with a scale, calibration is not necessary. If the indicator is being
connected to a scale for the first time or recalibration is necessary for other reasons, proceed
as indicated.
Calibration and Setup of the indicator is accomplished entirely by
the keypad. To enter the setup and calibration mode:
1. With the power off, remove the 2 screws from the right
end cap (as viewed from the indicator back) and remove
the end cap.
2. Locate the calibration jumper J2 on the circuit board and
remove the jumper. See Figure No. 9.
3. With the jumper removed, press and hold the
LOCK/RELEASE key and then press the ON/OFF key.
4. The indicator will perform a display test (turn on all digits),
show the software version for a few seconds and then
change to show SETUP.
5. Release the LOCK/RELEASE key.
6. The display will change to setgC.
7. The indicator is now ready for setup and calibration
During the setup and calibration process it is necessary to enter operational parameters via the
indicator's keypad. The following keys and the numeric keypad are used to input the values.

PRINT/ENTER
1. Pressing the PRINT/ENTER key without entering a new value will retain the current
setting and advance to the next prompt.
2. Some prompts require only a YES or NO selection.

the new value.
4. In either case, pressing the PRINT/ENTER key after changing a setting will save the new
value and advance to the next prompt.

objects (pencils, pens, fingernails, etc). Damage to keypad resulting from
this practice will NOT be covered under warranty.
setgC (SET GRAVITY CONSTANT)
This indicator is equipped with an acceleration of gravity function which means that it can be
calibrated in one location and then adjusted to match the acceleration of gravity at the
location where it will used.
With display showing setgC, press PRINT/ENTER key to show current setting. If setting
displayed is acceptable, press PRINT/ENTER key to save it. Otherwise use numeric keys
