PRECISION OF SEVEN SYSTEM READINGS
In the same study, 28 of the subjects wore two Seven Systems. This was done to look at
how similar two Seven Systems on the same person function (Sensor Precision). Precision
was evaluated by comparing the glucose readings from the two Seven Systems. Results
showed that Seven Systems generally agreed with each other within 16%.
SENSOR LIFE
Sensors may be used for up to 7 days. Looking only at the Sensors that were not replaced
during the course of the study, 97 Sensors were evaluated to estimate how many
sensors continued to work for up to 7 days. Of those 97 Sensors there were no insertion
problems. Table 11, below, displays how long you can expect a Sensor to last. For example,
75% of the sensors lasted between 145-168 hours.

Of the 24 sensors that did not last beyond 144 hours, 14 of them became nonfunctional
because of device failure (Early Sensor Shutoff), 7 of them fell off the insertion site, 2
terminated early because the Pod came unglued from the adhesive, and 1 Sensor stopped
functioning because of a Transmitter Connection Issue.
