Configuring screen blanking (optional)

An optional screen blanking function is available for the DLT-V83, which darkens the screen.
Possible application area for screen darkening: The screen of the DLT-V83 can be switched dark
automatically when the vehicle is driving.
6.10.

Protecting the display from the memory effect

The display of the DLT-V83 has to be protected from the burning in of a motionless image. An
image that has remained motionless for too long can cause irreversible damage to the display.
In the power management center of the utilized operating system, you must specify that the
display of the DLT-V83 should be turned off when no user input occurs.
A motionless image can stay on the display for a maximum of 12 hours. After more than 12 hours
there is the risk of the memory effect.
6.11.

(Re)calibrating the touchscreen

The touchscreens of all DLT-V83 devices are already calibrated and therefore do not have to be
calibrated when first put into operation.
Software recalibration under Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8.1 Industry and WE8S
These Microsoft Windows versions offer the option of software recalibration for the touchscreen
(Control Panel -> Tablet PC Settings).
This resets the sensitivity of the touchscreen to an operating system default setting, which can
result in poorer detection of taps on the screen.
You can use Reset to reset the software recalibration.
