at pH 5.2 to form a colorless complex. The net effect is bleaching of the color in
an amount proportional to the chlorine dioxide concentration. The method is
specific for ClO and is unreactive to other active chlorine or moderate oxidizing

compounds. Test results are measured at 575 nm.
