NOTE
Step 5 (Optional) Run:
info-center logfile size size
The log file size is set.
By default, the log file size is 8 MB.

Step 6 (Optional) Run:
info-center max-logfile-number filenumbers
The maximum number of log files that can be saved is set.
By default, a maximum of 200 log files can be saved.
If the number of log files generated on the Router exceeds the limit, the system deletes the oldest
log file.

3.6.3.5 Configuring the Device to Output Debugging Messages to the Console

Context
After debugging messages are output to the console, you can view debugging messages on the
console (host from which you can log in to the device through the console interface) to monitor
device running.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
info-center console channel { channel-number | channel-name }
A channel used by the device to output debugging messages to the console is specified.
By default, the device uses channel 0 to output debugging messages to the console.

l By default, log files are stored in the flash memory on the AR150&200 series.
l By default, log files are stored in usb0 on the AR1200 series. If usb0 is unavailable, the default log
storage medium is usb1. If both usb0 and usb1 are unavailable, the default log storage medium is Flash.
If usb0, usb1 and Flash are unavailable, the log files are not saved.
l By default, log files are stored in the flash memory on the AR2201-48FE, AR2202-48FE, AR2204,
AR2220,.
l The AR2240 and AR3200 series select a storage medium in descending order of priority: sd0, sd1,
usb0, and usb1. The default log storage medium is sd0. If sd0 is unavailable, the default log storage
medium is sd1. If none of sd0, sd1, usb0, and usb1 is unavailable, the log files are not saved.
If the size of a log file generated on the device exceeds the configured log file size, the system decompresses
the log file into a zip file.
