17.4.19 H97 (Outdoor Unit Fan Motor Lock Error)
Troubleshooting
For the type with two connectors (5-pin and 3-pin)
Check if a foreign object is stuck on the fan.
Check for bad connection of the fan motor connector.
When the power is supplied to the outdoor unit, check if DC5V is
present between 4 – 5 of the 5-pin connector.
(Measure the voltage after the fan motor connector is removed from
the board.)
When the outdoor unit is in operation, check if AC voltage is present
between 1 – 3, 1 – 5, and 3 – 5 of 3-pin and 5-pin connector.
Measure the coil resistance of No.3 pin of the fan motor.
Check if between 1 – 3, 1 – 5, and 3 – 5 of 3-pin and 5-pin
connector is not open-circuited or short-circuited.
