The purpose of the following table is to help you identify
the cause of malfunctions and suggest possible reme-
dies.
Problem
No function after switching
on the unit.

Possible causes
No operating voltage.

Lens cap on.
Faulty cabeling.

Faulty connection of alarm triggers. Check connections at ALARM IN/OUT socket.
Settings in OTHERS menu.
Suggested remedy
Check mains cable and if necessary check
main switch and fuse of wall outlet.
Check operating voltage of cameras and
monitors.
Remove lens cap.
Check video lines.
Check connections inside the plug.
Check brightness and contrast.
Turn the MODE switch to position CAMERA.
Check VCR connection.
Turn the MODE switch to position VCR.
Select T.L.1 in REC/ALARM menu.
Check connection of alarm control line and
pulse control line.
Change unit type.
Select right display mode on VCR (see
operation manual of VCR).
Start playback again.
Rewind tape or start fast forward mode.
Start playback again.
Press FREEZE button again.
Start tape in fast forward mode.
Start tape in fast forward mode.
Start tape in fast forward mode.
Check settings in REC/ALARM menu.
Select BUZZER ON in OTHERS menu.
