• Connect the VIDEO IN sockets, via the BNC cable,
to the video outputs of the cameras.
• Wherever possible, use the sockets from No. 1
onwards, without missing any input.
• Connect the VIDEO OUT sockets to the input
sockets of the corresponding peripheral devices
(e.g. monitors, quad splitters, video matrix units).
Serial interface
You can also operate the multiplexer functions re-
motely, using a PC-based terminal program.
The computer must be connected via the 9-pin sub-D
socket RS232C. You will find further details of compu-
ter remote control in the section entitled PC-based
operation (page 44).
Note
When connecting the data cable, take spe-
cial care to observe the corresponding in-
structions given in the manual supplied with
your PC.
• The computer should be connected to the multi-
plexer using a serial port data-transfer cable.
