Changing the battery

The battery that powers the internal calendar and
clock can be replaced with a minimum of trouble.

Always disconnect the multiplexer from the
power supply before proceeding.
Important!

Ensure that the replacement battery is an
MnO -Li, 3 V-type cell (e.g. Sanyo CR2450).

Observe the correct polarity when fitting: the
battery plus (+) symbol must be visible from
above.
The battery is housed in a holder fitted to the main
circuit board of the multiplexer.
• Remove the crosshead screws on both sides and
at the back of the auf multiplexer and remove the
cover.
• Push the battery towards the edge of the circuit
board and lever it out of its holder.
• Fit the new battery and push it until it clicks into
place in the holder.
• Refit multiplexer housing cover and secure by
tightening crosshead screws.
Note
Batteries contain substances that are poten-
tially harmful to health and the environment.
Do not throw old batteries away – dispose of
them as special refuse.
