ALARM HOLD
This feature lets you decide whether the alarm hold
function should run permanently or be activated and
disabled by means of a user-operated pushbutton
(HOLD button).
If the hold function is active, the multiplexer reacts – in
the event of an alarm incident – only to the pushbut-
ton on the front of the unit and not automatically to
the images or sequences from the alarm cameras.
This feature allows the user to stop any undesired
sequencing of images between cameras – in the
event of several alarms being active at once – and
display only the required camera images.
Note
If the hold function is set to ALWAYS in this
case, it can no longer be disabled by press-
ing the HOLD button.
Possible settings:
ALWAYS
HOLD function permanently active
KEY
HOLD function can be enabled and
disabled by pressing the HOLD button
ALARM SIGNAL
You can decide how the system should evaluate
signals from external alarm sources.
Possible settings:
EDGE
The multiplexer reacts to the rising side of
the signal. The alarm remains active until the
ALARM RESET is pressed or it is acknowl-
edged automatically. The falling edge of the
signal (signal transmitter opens contact) has
no influence.
LEVEL
The multiplexer reacts to changes in the
signal level. The alarm remains active until
the signal from the alarm source returns to its
original value. Pressing the ALARM RESET
button has no effect while the signal from the
alarm source remains active (signal source
contact closed)
