CHARACTER menu

This feature allows you to alter the way in which su-
perimposed text is displayed.

DATE/TIME(VCR)
CHARACTER DISPLAY
You can activate or disable superimposed text dis-
plays in general. This feature applies to all superim-
posed text with the following characteristics:
Text activated by control button operation,
e.g. date/time or ZOOM.
Text activated by an alarm incident,
e.g. ALARM or VL.
Note
Disable the superimposed text feature only if
the monitor segments are so small that
displaying text and images at the same time
causes obstruction of important image detail.
Ensure in this case that all vital system infor-
mation (alarm messages or display configu-
ration settings) can be obtained from other
sources.
Possible settings:

Text display feature enabled
OFF Text display feature disabled
ZS-SX Series
TITLE (MONITOR) and TITLE (VCR)
This feature lets you decide which text messages
should be displayed on-screen during normal opera-
ON
tion and which texts should be recorded on the VCR
along with the camera images. Configuration can be

carried out separately for live and taped images.

(only in multiplexer mode)
This feature lets you decide if the VCR should record
the date and time along with the camera images.
These details are then displayed whenever the tape is
played back.
Possible settings:

Recording of date and time
OFF No recording of date or time
No text display
Pattern 1: Camera name
and ID number
Pattern 2: Camera name only
(only in multiviewer mode)
Text recorded along with images
(only in multiplexer mode)
No text display
Pattern 1: Camera ID number
and alarm information
Pattern 2: Camera name only,
no alarm information
Note
Configure the VCR, if necessary, to prevent
the display of these data. Superimposed text
may overlap and obstruct large areas of the
display.
