REC/ALARM menu

You can configure the alarm procedures using the
multiplexer and adjust the recording mode of the VCR
unit.

REC MODE
(only in multiplexer mode)
This feature allows you to select the recording mode
of the VCR unit. This setting applies to both machines
if two VCR units are connected.
Note
Use the setting T.L.1 whenever possible as
this is the only way to guarantee optimized
synchronization between the multiplexer and
video recorder. Use the clock-pulse input in
this case (see page 25).
Possible settings:
NORMAL
normal recording speed
(real-time)
T.L.1
automatic changeover of recording
speed from long-term to real-time re-
cording (in case of alarm), activated by
clock-pulse signal
T.L.2
Long-term recording (no changeover)
VIDEO LOSS ALARM
You can totally activate or disable this alarm feature for
detecting loss of video signal. If this alarm feature is
disabled, the multiplexer no longer reacts in the event
of a camera failing.
Possible settings:
ON
Alarm activated to detect camera failure
OFF Camera failure detection alarm disabled

SENSOR ALARM
You can activate or disable alarm messages from
external alarm sources in general. If this feature is
disabled, the multiplexer no longer reacts to messag-
es from external alarm sources.
Possible settings:
ON
Alarm from external sources activated
OFF Alarm from external sources disabled
ALARM CONTROL
This parameter is only required when the system is
configured to run with certain special peripheral devic-
es.

Important!
Do not alter the factory-adjusted
MASTER parameters. If you select SLAVE,
certain alarm features may not function
correctly.
Possible settings:
MASTER
Device functions in Master mode
SLAVE
Device functions in Slave mode
ALARM FUNCTION
In the event of several unacknowledged alarm mes-
sages being active at once, you can select which
camera images to display on the monitor.
Possible settings:
LAST
The monitor displays the camera image
corresponding to the most recent alarm
incident. The VCR will likewise only record
this camera image in this case.
SEQ
The camera images corresponding to all
active alarms are displayed in automatic
sequence. These camera images are record-
ed by the VCR in the same manner.
ALL
The camera images corresponding to all
active alarms are displayed in automatic
sequence. The images from all connected
cameras are recorded on the VCR (only in
multiplexer mode).
