Xerox 700 Digital Color Press

Replacing the Drum Cartridges

This procedure shows you how to remove a used Drum
Cartridge and replace it with a new Drum Cartridge. The
machine will tell you when you need to order a new cartridge
and when to install it. The Drum Cartridges can be recycled so
please follow the disposal instructions you receive with the
new items.
Note
If you are having image quality (IQ) issues on your output,
refer to Chapter 8, Problem Solving, the section entitled "Image
Quality" for the specific IQ problem and its related corrective
actions. Also refer to the section entitled "Miscellaneous" in the
"Hints and Tips" section of Chapter 8 if the machine's UI is not
displaying the appropriate information when a supply needs
replenishing.
CAUTION:
Do not expose drum cartridges to direct sunlight or strong light from indoor fluorescent lighting for more than
two minutes. Image quality may deteriorate when the drum cartridges are exposed to light.
CAUTION: Replace drum cartridges while the machine is on. When the power is turned off, all information stored
to the machine's memory will be erased.

Front door.

Pull down the R1-R4 handle.
