SELF-TEST
The analyzer has a self test routine contained in the analyzer ROM . The self-test of the 1630A/D checks RAM,
ROM, and functioning of the measurement channels within the analyzer. The self-test of the 1630G makes the
same checks and also checks the HP-IB port and internal storage .
The self-test provides troubleshooting information if the analyzer is not functioning in the normal manner . If an
error is displayed during the self-test, or if the self-test does not occur, contact your nearest Hewlett-Packard
Sales and Service Office .
Before initiating the self-test, disconnect any connected pods from the target system and
the HP-113 cable from the rear panel of the analyzer .
To initiate the self-test, set switch 6 of the HP-1 B address switch on the rear panel to "1" (switch lever up) . Cycle
the front panel LINE power, off and on, and the analyzer automatically executes the self-test .
