RADIUS Configuration

On the System Security Configuration Menu, pressing "R" opens the RADIUS Con-
figuration Page screen, as shown in Fig. 4-19. On this screen, you can configure
access to the RADIUS server that is used in IEEE802.1X authentication.

Screen Description
NAS ID
Displays the authentication ID (NAS Identifier).
Server IP
Displays the IP address of the RADIUS server. "0.0.0.0" is the factory default set-

ting.
Shared Secret
Displays the common key (Shared Secret) that is used in authentication. The
same key must be set in the server and the RADIUS client. In general, the system
manager sets this secret key.
The factory default setting has no secret key. Displays "encrypted" if the key is
encrypted.
Response Time
Displays the maximum response time for the authentication request to the
RADIUS server.
The factory default setting is 10 seconds.
Maximum
Displays the number of times of retransmission for the authentication request to

The factory default setting is 3.
Available commands are listed below.
N
Set the NAS ID (NAS Identifier).
Press "N." The command prompt changes to "Enter NAS ID>." Enter the NAS ID in 16 charac-
ters or less.
I
Set the IP address of the RADIUS server.
Press "I." The command prompt changes to "Enter IP Address for RADIUS server>." Enter the
IP address.
