Operation Overview of PoE Power Supply Func-
tion
Ports 1-24 can support IEEE802.3at PoE power supply. The Switching Hub can sup-
ply power up to 30 W per port, and up to 185 W in total.
● Power supply operation when the PoE limit LED is blinking orange (the whole
unit is overloaded)
When the whole unit is overloaded because power request exceeds the limit, you
can verify a port that stopped supplying power by the corresponding port LED
(Right). To keep power request less than maximum power supply on the whole
unit, unplug the cable connected to the port blinking orange.
● Power supply operation when a single port is overloaded
When power request exceeds the maximum on a single port, the port is over-
loaded and stops supplying power. You can verify a port that stopped supplying
power by the corresponding port LED (Right). Unplug the cable on the port blink-
ing orange.
Note:
Power consumption may be greatly different between during normal opera-
tion and during maximum power consumption depending on the PoE power
receiving device. Configure the Switching Hub not to exceed the limit.
Note:
If power request exceeds the limit of the whole unit, a port with higher prior-
ity is blocked and stops supplying power.(If other ports have same priority, a
port with a larger port number is blocked and stops supplying power.)
