mains, even if the set itself has been turned off.

Using a car battery

Use a car battery charger such as Sony DC-
V515A (not supplied). Connect the car battery
cord to the cigarette lighter socket of a car (12 V
or 24 V). Connect the car battery charger and the
camcorder using the DK-315 (supplied with DC-
V515A) connecting cord.
