Table Top Mounting

Pedestal model printers can be mounted on a sturdy table instead of the pedestal. However, the
table must be designed or modified to accommodate the printer paper path and air ventilation
requirements. To mount the printer on a table, perform the following instructions.
1. Select a table sturdy enough to support the weight of the printer. If the table is not de
signed for a bottom feed paper path and air ventilation, modify the table as shown in
Figure 10-13.
2. Verify the 4 rubber feet are firmly attached to the base of the printer.
3. Position the printer on the table so that the paper will feed from under the table, through
the paper path slot, up into the paper guide of the printer. The paper should pass through
the slot with 1/2" clearance at both ends.
4. Position the paper basket (if used) behind the printer. Attach the paper basket ground
wire from the paper basket to the printer ac power cord receptacle at the lower right rear
corner of the printer.
