Réglage du protège-aiguille avant
<Réglage latéral>
Régler l'écart B entre 1 et 1,5 mm de manière que l'écart A soit aussi compris entre 1 et 1,5 mm.
(Pour la jauge de 6,4 mm (1/4 po.), l'écart B doit être de 0 mm.)
<Réglage vertical>
Régler la hauteur du protège-aiguille avant w de manière que l'écart C soit d'environ 1 mm lorsque le protège-aiguille
arrière q est placé complètement en arrière.
* Après avoir effectué le réglage ci-dessus, tourner la poulie de machine avec la main et s'assurer que les écarts D et E
entre le boucleur e et le protège-aiguille avant w soient de 0,5 mm ou plus.
* S'assurer aussi que le protège-aiguille arrière q et le protège-aiguille avant w ne se touchent en aucun point lorsque le
protège-aiguille arrière q est placé complètement à l'avant.
<Autres réglages>
Les autres réglages (tels que l'écart entre l'aiguille et le protège-aiguille avant w) doivent être effectués comme avec la
jauge de 6,4 mm (1/4 po.).

Adjusting the front needle guard
<Lateral adjustment>
Adjust clearance B to 1 to 1.5 mm so that clearance A also
becomes 1 to 1.5 mm.
(For the 6.4-mm (1/4") gauge, clearance B should basically
be 0 mm.)
<Vertical adjustment>
Adjust the height of the front needle guard w so that distance
C is approximately 1 mm when the rear needle guard q is
as far back as it will go.
* After making the above adjustment, turn the machine
pulley by hand and check that the clearances D and E
between the looper e and the front needle guard w are
0.5 mm or more.
* Also check that the rear needle guard q and the front
needle guard w do not touch each other at any point when
the rear needle guard q is as far forward as it will go.
<Other adjustments>
Other adjustments (such as the clearance between the
needle and front needle guard w) should be adjusted in the
same way as for the 6.4 mm (1/4") gauge.

Einstellen des vorderen Nadelschutzes
<Seitliche Einstellung>
Stellen Sie den Abstand B auf 1 bis 1,5 mm ein, so daß der
Abstand A ebenfalls 1 bis 1,5 mm beträgt.
(Für die 6,4mm-Lehre muß der Abstand B grundsätzlich 0
mm betragen.)
<Vertikale Einstellung>
Stellen Sie die Höhe des vorderen Nadelschutzes w so ein,
daß der Abstand C ungefähr 1 mm beträgt, wenn der hintere
Nadelschutz q so weit wie möglich nach hinten gestellt ist.
* Drehen Sie nach dieser Einstellung die Riemenscheibe
mit der Hand, um zu kontrollieren, ob die Abstände D
und E zwischen dem Greifer e und dem vorderen
Nadelschutz w mindestens 0,5 mm betragen.
* Kontrollieren Sie, ob sich der hintere q und der vordere
Nadelschutz w nicht berühren, wenn sich der hintere
Nadelschutz q ganz vorne befindet.
<Andere Einstellungen>
Die anderen Einstellungen (wie der Abstand zwischen der
Nadel und dem vorderen Nadelschutz w) müssen gleich
wie für die 6,4mm-Lehre gemacht werden.
