7.5.1 SUSTITUCION PASTILLAS FRENO
Lea con cuidado 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMA-
CIONES GENERALES).
Desmonte el silenciador de escape, véase 7.1.20
(DESMONTAJE SILENCIADOR DE ESCAPE).
Desmonte la tapa zapatas freno (1).
Extraiga el anillo de seguridad (2).
Extraiga el perno (3).
Quite el muelle (4).

Junto con las pastillas hay que extraer tam-
bién las placas antivibración.
Saque las pastillas (5) (junto con las placas antivibra-
ción (6)) extrayéndolas una a la vez.

No accione la palanca mando freno tras haber
extraído las pastillas, porque en caso contrario
el émbolo de la pinza de freno podría salirse de
su sede, causando la pérdida del líquido de los frenos.
Sustituya las placas antivibración (6) si están desgas-
tadas.

Sustituya siempre ambas pastillas y controle
que estén colocadas correctamente dentro de
la pinza de freno.
Introduzca dos pastillas nuevas.
Introduzca correctamente el muelle (4).
Introduzca el perno (3).
Instale el anillo de seguridad (2).
Vuelva a poner la tapa zapatas freno (1).
Controle el nivel del liquido de los frenos, véase 2.13.1
(CONTROL NIVEL LIQUIDO FRENOS).
7.5.2 CONTROL DISCO FRENO

Hay que realizar las siguientes operaciones
con el disco freno instalado en la rueda.
Realice un control visivo de las superficies del disco
freno. Sustituya el disco si está rayado o si presenta
señales de degradación, véase 7.5.3 (DESMONTAJE
DISCO FRENO).
Controle el desgaste del disco freno midiendo con un
micrómetro el espesor mínimo en distintos puntos.
Si el espesor mínimo, incluso en un solo punto del dis-
co, es inferior al valor límite, sustituya el disco.
Valor mínimo espesor disco freno: 3,6 mm
Utilizando un comparador, controle que la oscilación
del disco no supere la tolerancia, en caso contrario
sustitúyalo.
Tolerancia de oscilación disco freno: 0,3 mm.
7.5.3 DESMONTAJE DISCO FRENO
Lea con cuidado 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMA-
CIONES GENERALES).
Extraiga la rueda trasera, véase 7.3.1 (RUEDA TRA-
SERA - DESMONTAJE).
Destornille y quite los tres tornillos disco freno (7).
Par de apriete tornillos disco freno:

27 Nm (2,7 kgm).
Atornille los tres tornillos manualmente y
apriételos.

Durante la instalación aplique LOCTITE
en la rosca de los tornillos disco freno.
Extraiga el disco freno.
CHASSIS PARTS
7.5.1 CHANGING THE BRAKE PADS
Carefully read 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL IN-
FORMATION).
Remove the exhaust silencer, see 7.1.20 (REMOVING
THE EXHAUST SILENCER).
Remove the brake caliper cover (1).
Remove the stop ring (2).
Withdraw the pin (3).
Remove the spring (4).

The antivibration plates will come out togeth-
er with the pads.
Extract the pads (5) (complete with the antivibration
plates (6)) one by one.

After removing the pads, do not operate the
brake control lever, otherwise the caliper pin
may go out of its seat and cause the outflow
of the brake fluid.
If the antivibration plates (6) are worn, change them.

Always change both pads and make sure that
they are correctly positioned inside the cali-
per.
Insert two new pads.
Correctly insert the spring (4).
Insert the pin (3).
Put back the stop ring (2).
Put back the brake caliper cover (1).
Check the brake fluid level, see 2.13.1 (CHECKING
THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL).
7.5.2 CHECKING THE BRAKE DISC

These operations must be performed with the
brake disc installed on the wheel.
Carry out a visual checking of the brake disc surface. If
scratches or signs of deterioration are visible, change
the disc, see 7.5.3 (REMOVING THE BRAKE DISC).
Check the wear of the brake disc by measuring the
minimum thickness in several points by means of a mi-
crometer.
If the minimum thickness, even in one point of the disc
only, is lower than the limit value, change the disc.
Min. brake disc thickness: 3.6 mm
By means of a comparator, make sure that the oscilla-
tion of the disc does not exceed the tollerance limit,
otherwise change it.
Brake disc oscillation limit: 0.3 mm
7.5.3 REMOVING THE BRAKE DISC
Carefully read 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL IN-
FORMATION).
Remove the rear wheel, see 7.3.1 (REAR WHEEL -
REMOVAL).
Unscrew and remove the three brake disc screws (7).
Brake disc screw driving torque:

27 Nm (2.7 kgm).
Screw the three screws manually and tighten
them.

Upon reassembly, apply LOCTITE
threading of the brake disc screws.
Remove the brake disc.
